There Is Now No Condemnation for Those in Christ Jesus

In remedy to walking according to the flesh, following the directions of the Holy Spirit should be the hallmark of every child of God. God is good. He doesn’t want you to always live to battle with mental struggles. He wants you to be effective in your walk of faith.

If you have been a Christian (saved by the Lord Jesus) for a while, I suppose you have come across this statement in the Bible: “There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus”, as written in 
Romans 8:1. Because of this profound truth, I suppose you are aware of how much freedom and liberty God has supplied unto you in Christ Jesus. There are several testimonies of people healed and delivered from all kinds of addictions when they came into Christ Jesus. I am one of them, and you can also be if you are still struggling with certain addictions and secret sins. Before I continue with this article, let’s take a look at the entire verse (
Romans 8:1) from which today’s article topic was derived.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” – 
Romans 8:1 (NKJV)

Now, there is a reason why I posted the full scripture here. The Bible verse doesn’t end on the first part but has a continuation: “… who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit”. That means there are several believers whose lives aren’t testaments to what is said in the first part of the scripture because of failure to obey the second part of the same verse.

If anybody in Christ chooses to walk according to the dictates of the flesh, that person will remain saved but will constantly live tortured in their minds because of the sins they are indulging in. For example, if a believer is practising money laundering, the Holy Spirit won’t stop convicting him of that act. However, the devil will also capitalise on it to make the person feel condemned. If the person isn’t saved, the condemnation will even be stronger because such a person isn’t a carrier of the Holy Ghost. Hmm. God knows how bad this thing affects people, and that is why He gives His children to live above the dictates of sinful flesh.

following the directions of the Holy Spirit should be the hallmark of every child of God. Let me tell you something. God is good. He doesn’t want you to always live to battle with mental struggles. He wants you to be effective in your walk of faith.
